NL / KURT VILE is een jonge singer-songwriter afkomstig van Philadelphia wiens radio voortdurend op het lokale classic rock radiostation lijkt te staan. De geesten van Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty en consorten glinsteren doorheen de wazige stofzuigersound van zijn slaapkamerpop. Zijn nieuwste LP op Matador, Childish Prodigy verstevigt alleen maar die reputatie, het perfecte huwelijk tussen de DIY lofi-esthetiek die zo populair was in de jaren '90 als oeramerikaanse road rock. Na zijn geweldige passage op het Kraakfestival eerder dit jaar komt hij terug met zijn back-up band THE VIOLATORS  •••  Voorprogramma wordt verzorgd door de jonge kraakbelofte BEAR BONES, LAY LOW - analoge synths en drumcomputers.

Passés aux filtres de la nonchalance de ce vrai slacker qu’est Kurt Vile, Bruce Springsteen et Tom Petty ne semblent plus si loin de Pavement et consorts. Mélodies douces et guitares nébuleuses faisaient de son premier album un inusable classique. EN / KURT VILE is an evocative, textural young singer-songwriter from Philadelphia. He has seemingly absorbed a lifetime's worth of classic radio rock, and the ghosts of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and others glimmer under the surface of his woozy, homemade bedroom pop. His recently released Childish Prodigy LP on Matador is a wonderful world of sounds and songs, bridging the gap between DIY lofi and dinosaur rock. After an amazing appearance at the Kraakfestival last year, he's back in Belgium with his back-up band THE VIOLATORS  •••  Support by BEAR BONES, LAY LOW who'll bring a new set filled with analogue synths and drum computers
