NL / Blaaskaak uit de 'NO WAVE' van de jaren stillekes - straffer dan ooit. Doet het nog steeds. Luisterend naar de laatste cd van BLURT zijn wij overtuigd het nog eens te doen. NO WAVE PUNK uit engeland was nooit zo hard als die uit new york, tenzij ted milton ... CONTORT YOURSELF THREE TIMES !!!
De Brill Building staat in lichterlaaie. Elvis is dood en de laatste singer-songwriter heeft het gebouw verlaten. The Fall en The Blues Explosion springen van de hoogste verdieping en ontmoeten in hun val Slint en Unwound. Net voor het einde in zicht komt, slepen ze nog Tex Perkins van Beasts of Bourbon als zanger mee. Maar het einde komt niet. Er is slechts FALLING MAN, vervaarlijk buitelend in een storm van gekartelde gitaren, afgemeten drums en dreigend gegrom. Math Rock voor mensen die niet van wiskunde houden, Trash voor lieden die hun afval keurig sorteren. En eigenlijk niets van dit alles: gewoon muziek die het kind met het badwater weggooit, waarna de band het kind weer oppakt en liefdevol aan de borst drukt terwijl de zanger het badwater opdrinkt.
