GALA DROP is a Lisbon based five piece band. They play synths, electric guitar, drums, a whole lot of percussion (congas & african drums!) and samples. Think krautrock, dub and electronics. They join the dots between Jon Hassell, King Tubby, Liquid Liquid, Shackleton, Can, disco and African rhythms while still doing their own unique thing. In 2008 they released a self-titled debut LP and in 2010 they dropped a trippy 12" on Golf Channel, home of crazy NYC disco heads like Phil South & Justin Vandervolgen. Later this year Gala Drop will release a collaboration with Ben Chasny (Six Organis of Admittance, Comets on Fire) and a new Gala Drop full album, that they'll already be presenting on this tour.
Gala Drop played with Sonic Youth, Holger Czukay, Dirty Projectors and Gang Gang Dance, among many others. Last year they were personally invited by Panda Bear to open his NYC show.

BEPOTEL is &apos, Sagat and Walrus. They play bubbly electronic dub that they release on tape, drawing sonic influences from a broad range of styles as wide as ambient, leftfield house and analogue funk. You might know them from their side projects Smaakwaterval or Elmer. The sound of nowadays' Brussels.
