JOACHIM BADENHORST TRIO WITH TOMA GOUBAND AND C. SPENCER YEH
Belgian reed player, JOACHIM BADENHORST, is currently living in Brooklyn, New York. He is a co-Leader of groups in different European countries: Mogil (iceland), Red Rocket (Ireland), Rawfishboys (France), Ploug/Pettersen/Badenhorst (Denmark), Os Meus Shorts (Belgium), Taro (Austria). Joachim is a member of the Han Bennink Trio, the first group that the legendary Dutch drummer fronts as a leader. Their record `Parken` (available on the Danish ILK label) was chosen by All About Jazz NY as `best new release of 2009`.

Given a chance to invite two musicians he admires, he is calling upon Toma Gouband and C.Spencer Yeh to make a tour in Belgium.
TOMA GOUBAND (Fr) percussionist, improviser, searcher of sounds, links between sounds, rhythms' forms and rhythms between rhythms - plays with drums, stones, branches, some "boom" & some "tchak", a cymbow, feather dusters, bells, winds, ... browsing times, silences and densities. He articulates a space, sometimes agitated, sometimes still, untill matters and airs meet and sing. C. SPENCER YEH (Taiwan/NY) is active both as a solo and ensemble artist, as well as with his project, Burning Star Core. As an improviser, Yeh is focused on developing a personal vocabulary using violin, voice, and electronics. He is concerned not only with the sensual aspects of sound, but the gestural qualities as well. Yeh has collaborated with a deep and ever-growing list of artists and groups, including Tony Conrad, New Humans with Vito Acconci, Thurston Moore, Okkyung Lee, John Wiese, Nate Wooley, Don Dietrich and Ben Hall (as The New Monuments), Ryan Sawyer, Paul Flaherty, Chris Corsano, Rafael Toral, DJ Sniff, Prurient and Jandek. He has also exhibited visual art, sound, and video works internationally.
