LEAN LEFT (NL/US/NO) What happens when punk duo Terry Ex & Andy Moore (from the legendary The Ex) meet the well established impro duo Ken Vandermark & Paal Nilssen-Love? Expect an explosive mix of scratchy guitars, shrieking free jazz noises and bouncing, throbbing polyrhytmic soundscapes. American reedman Ken Vandermark has played in Vandermark Five and Territory Band and with Peter Brötzmann, Zu, Kevin Drumm. This concert will undoubtedly prove that The Ex are still reinventing themselves and currently are at a carreer high.

[SIC] ELECTRIC (BE) Four saxophones, a drums and a bass. This is the powerful foundation of [SIC] electric, a new rock project from the former members of the belgium saxophones quartet BL!NDMAN, lead by bass player Lieven Eeckhout. His square and rhytmic lines, blended together with the energetic drumming of Mattijs Vanderleen gives the saxophones loads of space to scream their melodies, noises and other freaky opinions into the free open air. Inspired by X-Legged-Sally, Jaga Jazzist and John Zorn, as well as The Ex, Sonic Youth and The Melvins. LEAN LEFT est le nouveau projet de Andy Moor et Terry EX tout deux guitariste de The EX, Paal Nilssen-Love Batterie/Percussion (Norvège) et Ken Vandermark saxophone & clarinette (USA). Ils proposent une musique crue, à la beauté brutale entre jazz et musique improvisée. Vandermark est également connu, entres milles autres choses, pour son travail avec son propre quintet le Vandermark 5. Nilssen-Love est certainement l'un des batteurs les plus créatif et énergique de la scène jazz internationale. Le résultat est intense, ludique, au croisement des chemins du jazz, de la musique improvisée et de l'ethno noise à la The EX.
[SIC] ELECTRIC | Groupe belge formé en 2005. Line up: 4 saxophones + percussions. Pendant de longues années le groupe aura collaboré avec Eric Sleichim et son Bl!indman's Quartet. Le groupe comme entité, les musiciens comme individus participent à de nombreux extérieurs.
