DE KOFFIE VAN MORGEN

improvisatie in moderne tijden

improvisation in modern times

From Monday 25th to Friday 29th of September, De Koffie Van Morgen will stay at Le Vecteur for an artistic residency! On 29th of September, they will play at the Boot Tenace in Charleroi!

“De Koffie Van Morgen is a band that explores the possibilities of acoustic instruments combined with electronic instruments/devices. I call it Improvised Dance Music or Improvised Electronic Music, because we all have a jazz, free improvisation background and we try to combine that concept of free improvisation with electronic music.

The idea of this band started when Hendrik and I were having conversations in coffee bars in Brussels. The music in the background was electronic/house music that we liked. It occurred to me that this could be improvised music (because of it's transcdental character). So I gave Elias and Thijs a phone call and now we have 'De Koffie Van Morgen'.”
