Leila Bordreuil
Leila Bordreuil is a cellist, composer, improviser and sound artist based in Brooklyn. Her musical language borrows concepts from harsh noise, free-jazz, contemporary-classical and other experimental traditions. Driven by a fierce interest in pure sound and inherent texture, Leila challenges conventional cello practice through original extended techniques and extreme amplification methods without effects pedals. Her compositions explore psychoacoustic happenings and sound-spatialization through multichannel and site-specific pieces.
Her musical collaborations are numerous and diverse, and recent collaborators include Bill Nace (Body/Head), Tamio Shiraishi (Fushitutsa), Zach Rowden (Tongue Depressor), Kali Malone, Luke Stewart (Irreversible Entanglements), Susan Alcorn, Ingrid Laubrock, Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth)…
Leila was a 2022 artist-in-residence at the GRM, Paris, and is a 2023 artist-in-residence at Les Ateliers Claus, Brussels. Recent commissions include BOZAR Museum (Brussels), the French Embassy at Lincoln Center, The Kitchen, and the French Alliance at Issue Project Room.

Ode De Kort
As a visual artist, Ode de Kort has been practicing for quite some time with a fixed number of characters, which repeat and deform regularly. This practice leads to an extensive vocabulary, namely a language that arises through, and interacts with its context. This process translates into installation, photography, video, performance, sound and text. By zooming in and out, rehearsing and shifting, she tries to create rhythms and interspaces that we can (re)cognize sensorially.
In RBB B BRR, a performance made with sounds produced by rubber and voice. She combines live movements with pre-recorded samples. Practice, play and repetition are a central part of the performance. This sculptural experiment tries to explore the borders of the photographic image by mixing it with other disciplines.
