Kin Tales - every 3rd sunday of the month, 14h - 17h - by the aunties collective
kin constellations have always existed next to nuclear family models, yet these bonds often are unsupported by institutions and unrecognised by social structures.
join us to imagine something different. how can we create kin family with joy, sustainability, and safety? what new terminologies and structures can we invent together to meet our needs that institutions ignore?
each kin tales event explores a different dimension of kinship, such as the figure of the auntie, queering spaces, creating support structures, co-parenting, and more. come share your stories, learn from others, propose new directions, build community, and dream up future possibilities together.
whether you're curious about kin family, already living it, or simply care deeply about these questions, join us every third sunday of the month. doors close at 14h30.
march 15th, 2026 – On Support Pods
This Kin Tales session marks the first of two consecutive gatherings dedicated to collective care and support structures.
Support pods are small, intentional groups of people who commit to supporting one another through care, accountability, and shared responsibility. They can be formed around shared needs, values, identities, territory, or specific moments in life, and they help us move from improvised, one-to-one care toward more collective and sustainable ways of holding each other — especially in times of crisis or transition.
Together, we will:
* map our personal and collective circles of support
* identify gaps, needs, and shared capacities
* form small groups around common concerns
* experiment with concrete, imaginative ways of offering and organizing care
The afternoon will move between individual reflection, small-group work, and collective sharing, creating an intimate, playful, and serious space to think — and practice — care together.
The Aunties Collective reimagines kinship beyond traditional boundaries. We are eight practitioners working across activism, architecture, visual arts, performance, bio-engineering, law, and participatory methods.
